Vintage Promo Poster Original UK / Year of issue: 2000. Size approx 30" x 20" [50 x 75.50 cm].

It's the year 2000 and trip hop has conquered the world, via Bristol and its sleepy outlying towns. Cup of Tea Records (for it is they) sign Monk & Canatella to retro compilation pimps Telstar, and the circle of stoner lolz is complete.

To celebrate, Banksy and Paul Insect collaborate on a poster for the album's launch. Poetically, Banksy would do community service himself in New York not long after. An extremely rare original poster, the 30" x 20" inch poster format was used to promote events, bands, artists, tours and even films.

Due to fly posters being posted around cities they often got damaged or graffiti on them. These posters were displayed on hoardings, in bus stops airport concourses, shopping malls subways and record shops and were invariably eventually ripped up, discarded or covered over at the end of the campaign.

I will always take pictures of any of the above. Posters are packed carefully rolled in paper in a plastic tube.
